Beauty's Product RAVE: Anastasia Mini Brow Kit

I adore Anastasia, even when she is thinking small. This new mini-brow kit is a perfect stocking stuffer for the brow challenged. You know just to get them started with a mini Matte Camille Highlighter, Tweezers, and Clear Brow Gel. Also a wonderful addition to any brow-obsessed beauty's collection. Take me for example. I have every Anastasia product known to man and there is still lots to love about this little arch-itectural collection. I love the mini brow highlighter because: 1) The effect of Anastasia's brilliantly colored Matte Camile highlighter is transfixing. It is so remarkable it may, in fact, be habit-forming. I saw a cute man last night and my first reflex was to whip out this little beauty, re-apply, then return to the conversation. Clearly he would have evaporated had I chosen to do so, but still having the option of a pocket brow highlighter is essential should you have more planning time for your cute man encounter. 2) I find the full wand of brow gel is intimidating. Especially for those (who shall remain anonymous) on Anastasia's twelve step program for over pluckers. Somehow in this little package it was less intimidating and the results are lovely, even for the brow balding like myself.

After having some frightfully horrifying pictures of myself tagged and re-tagged on facebook (despite my constant effort at un-tagging) I decided to make lemonade out of the facebook lemons. Anastasia Brow Studio: Perfection All Over the Country

It is obvious at this point that I have an Anastasia obsession. I am obsessed with her personally for a number of reasons (her penchant for perfection, desire to help women of all financial means feel beautiful, and well I think she may be part goddess.) But on a beauty note, how else can you spend $30 and highlight every beautiful facial feature and contour to the extent that you surprise even yourself in the mirror?



I was in D.C. for a brief visit recently and found myself at the retail Taj Mahal otherwise known as Tyson's Corner. I raved about my experience at the Nordstroms in North Carolina so I wanted to test out another studio. I am, not surprisingly, equally pleased with the studio in Tyson's.

Every technician at Nordstrom's Anastasia Studios across the country (see a full listing of participating Nordies here) has been trained by Anastasia herself or one of her senior staff members. In fact the wax will go cold for months waiting for the next Anastasia-trained brow magician to arrive. Most businesses I assume would carry on but Anastasia demands perfection and this is why I love her brow studios which bring stellar brow shapes to women across America. In checking out these old before and after pics I realized how thick and full my brows have gotten since faithfully using the Anastasia Brow Kits. More on that soon!

Anastasia does sweet eyebrows and not just for Eva Longoria

When I first told you that the eyebrow goddess had syndicated her divine beauty powers to Nordstroms all over the country I never could have dreamed that I would one day meet said Goddess. What is most endearing about this passionate Eastern European beauty is her heartfelt desire to bring beauty to women of all types. Having done Oprah's eyebrows regularly, along with a long long list of other celebs like Eva Longoria, she clearly could be resting on her laurels. Instead she is pushing the eyebrow and makeup industry to places it has never been been before. Her desire for perfection is infectious and her products open the doors to eyebrow beginners while revamping the methods of over-plucked beauty veterans. I only have time to post this one video but there are more pictures, video, and massive Anastasia news on the way. I want to say a special thank you to Total Beauty, Erika Valente, and all the people at Anastasia who made this possible. It was an honest to goodness dream come true for me.
