Beauty's Product RAVE: Anastasia Mini Brow Kit

I adore Anastasia, even when she is thinking small. This new mini-brow kit is a perfect stocking stuffer for the brow challenged. You know just to get them started with a mini Matte Camille Highlighter, Tweezers, and Clear Brow Gel. Also a wonderful addition to any brow-obsessed beauty's collection. Take me for example. I have every Anastasia product known to man and there is still lots to love about this little arch-itectural collection. I love the mini brow highlighter because: 1) The effect of Anastasia's brilliantly colored Matte Camile highlighter is transfixing. It is so remarkable it may, in fact, be habit-forming. I saw a cute man last night and my first reflex was to whip out this little beauty, re-apply, then return to the conversation. Clearly he would have evaporated had I chosen to do so, but still having the option of a pocket brow highlighter is essential should you have more planning time for your cute man encounter. 2) I find the full wand of brow gel is intimidating. Especially for those (who shall remain anonymous) on Anastasia's twelve step program for over pluckers. Somehow in this little package it was less intimidating and the results are lovely, even for the brow balding like myself.

Beauty's Product: Holiday Compacts by Estée Lauder and a Bit of Beauty History.

Estée Lauder has produced a new edition of collectible compacts every year since the first pressed powder compact in 1963. (See below to view the legend's personal collection.) While the original designs belonged to Mrs. Estée herself later years have seen creations from world renown artists. Beauty's Product RAVE: Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser in Lemongrass and Natural Sugar

Who doesn't need industrial strength exfoliants in the winter? Well, technically Sigrid has forbid me from using physical exfoliants on my face until the end of time. ("Gomage only!" Insists the brilliant French-Canadian wizard of epidermal health.) However as we all know my back needs serious help and well she was, at the time, speaking only of my face. I suppose we have a 'don't ask don't tell policy' on my back, mkay? Anyhow this winter from stress and excessive travelling my back acne has become a, perhaps irreversible, problem. Since I have finally decided I'd actually like a BF after years of being happily single I should probably 1) stop advertising my back ugliness on the internet and 2) fix the bane of my existence permanently. So after my full body salt scrub down at Bliss SF I have taken to two natural, yet powerful exfoliants to exterminate the pests that chew at my back like termites at an otherwise lovely country home.
